Softly the wind blew
Whispering into my ears
Things I could not contain
That made me tremble
Thus I remained
For what seemed like eternity
When at length I was able
I peered long and deep into the seat
Of dreams and wishes
Desires and aspirations
The pulls in the many directions
Then I was
Afraid

To My Friend
May the sun always rise to greet you in the morning
May the stars twinkle over you at night
May you find a lightness in your footsteps
And your heart always be glad
May a smile always light up your face
And your pathways strewn with flowers and grace

Waves
Billows the sea as it crashes onto the shore
Dancing to the symphony of the wind
Riding on crests of victories
Making nought the sandman's work

I think...
I think
You don't
I think
You don't
You want to remain ignorant
I think
You don't
I think
You don't
That's why you are still ignorant
I think
You don't
I think
You don't
It's time for you to learn

Harmony
So elusive
Harmony
So hard to achieve
Differences
Make the difference
To agree to disagree
Is not agreeable
So there you are
The speck in another's eye looms like a mountain before you
While the log in your eye is as transparent glass.

Sinister Laughter
Laughter I hear
But not of humour
Of the sinister sort it is
Cackling far and near
Like a mad man just got up
From the cold cement floor
On a dark stormry night.

In no position....
In no position..., in no position...
Suspension?
In no position..., in no position...
Contradiction!
In no position..., in no position...
In relation to?
To the True North, or to the Antarctica South?
To the East, or to the West?
Or to where fools rush where angels fear to tread?
IN NO POSITION, FOLKS! I SAY, IN NO POSITION!
THAT is the position!

Vacuous
I am a hundred and one
And still in my prime.
Incredible, you say?
Incredible, I'd say!
My world is small and expanding
Yet nothing is changed.
Just things moving further apart.
Past, present and future
All blended as one together.
Time has stood still -
For me.
And still in my prime.
Incredible, you say?
Incredible, I'd say!
My world is small and expanding
Yet nothing is changed.
Just things moving further apart.
Past, present and future
All blended as one together.
Time has stood still -
For me.

God Is On Trial / Irony
Part 1
What occasion may it be,
That brings this uproar that I see?
Have you not heard?
GOD IS ON TRIAL TODAY!
His creations from all over the land
Bring their charges to the witness stand.
Voices rise, tempers flare,
The jury shake their fingers and glare.
The evidence is plain for all to see;
The verdict is out! God is guilty!
Down comes the hammer, the judge thunders,
"God, what do YOU have to say?"

Part 2
Above the noise and the din
That a myriad of voices brings,
An orchestrated sound it seems,
Resonating like a horrible scream.
Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
What must be done to appease
The blinding wrath of a creation demanding to see justice?
All this while the Lord stands by
And watch the proceedings with ne'er a reply.
Part 3
See His hands and His side,
The blood that flows out of His back;
O the depths of sorrow and pain,
Written on His gruesome face;
That one moment of great despair
Born out of a separation rare;
A separation that never was, Nor ever will be;
When the Father turns HIs face away
From the One in whom He is well pleased.
Love flows in crimson red,
So costly and yet so free.
Part 4
Still the people continue to rage
As many more join in to debate
On a punishment that cannot wait
To deliver it to the Ancient of Days they hate.
"Only the harshest will suffice
To appease our souls and heal our wounded pride."
God is hereby sentenced to humiliation and death.
Part 5
See how, as He hung upon the cursed tree,
The nails they drove through His hands and His feet,
Did not distract Him from what He came to bring
Light and hope to a world lost and darkened by sin.
In that defining moment even as the crowd mocked,
"If thou be the Christ, come down from the cross,",
With His dying breath He gasped and prayed,
"Father, forgive them,
For they know not what they do."
What occasion may it be,

Walls
Walls -
are the keepers of peace.
They come in various designs
to keep out and to keep in.
Walls speak
to tell you the limits
how far you can go
how near you may come.
Walls stand
high and impregnable
with folded arms and stoic silence
to keep the distance.
To the uninitiated
an added sign says, "Beware of dogs!"
Make no mistake!
Some have gone one step further.
"Trespassers shall be prosecuted!"
Walls protect
from the unsolicited attention from the outside
the onslaught of mad hostilities
to take away your dignity.
Walls comfort
with a sense of security
a reprieve in times of need
a welcome relief and quick retreat.
Walls arouse
curiosity to the world within
indeed beckon and welcome
with their intricate designs and ornamental plants.
A glimpse to the soul
An interaction of different worlds.
Walls -
are necessary.

Words!
Words have meanings
Words can achieve
Words have power.
Words can be weighty
Words can bounce
They lift up
They bring down
They make you laugh
They make you cry
Words can be sharp
They pierce you like a spear
They bring you hurt
They strengthen you
Or leave you a withered fool
They germinate
And generate fear, love or hate
They build up
They destroy
Like missiles without mercy
Or jewels clothed with grace
They comfort
They heal
They disturb
And expose your vulnerability
They restore with gentleness
And bring a glimpse of hope to the helpless
Words can achieve
More than you can imagine.
Measure your words before you speak
Weigh them in the balance
Count the cost and the loss
For when they go from your lips
They cannot be retrieved
Let words be laced with kindness and gentleness
Truth dressed with mercy and love.
Like the gentle rustling of the wind
Striking a harmonious chord with hearer and listener

Life
Like the twists and turns of a billion atoms
Of a bonsai on a journey of no return;
Like the chorus of a mountain spring
In its relentless surge from within;
Like a dancer flowing with the music
Always in step, not missing a beat,
Till the music fades into the deafening silence that awaits.
Where men do not speak, neither fame nor riches seek.
For the grinders have ceased because they are few,
And the gates to the streets have shut.
And the light has gone out of the windows,
And day and night as indistinguishable as sunrise and sunset.
Of a bonsai on a journey of no return;
Like the chorus of a mountain spring
In its relentless surge from within;
Like a dancer flowing with the musicAlways in step, not missing a beat,
Till the music fades into the deafening silence that awaits.
Where men do not speak, neither fame nor riches seek.
For the grinders have ceased because they are few,
And the gates to the streets have shut.

And day and night as indistinguishable as sunrise and sunset.
Break Out!
Exiled on the Isle of Man
Lonely and without a friend
Desperate and homesick
Badly needing a break.
Anger pushes at the seams
Fear closes in
No one to turn to
No way out.
Got to break free!
BREAK OUT!
Trust In God
Trust in God
For He is good
And He cares for you.
His sweetness will follow you
His peace will keep you
His joy will overflow you.
You will walk with a lightness in your step.
You will sing because you are glad
You will sing because you are glad
You will love because you are loved

Humpty Dumpty
Why did Humpty Dumpty sit on the wall?
Was it because he was too short?
Or did he harbour some suicidal thoughts?
Did he fall because he was stupid?
Or because his head was too big?
Did he fall because he was stupid?
Or because his head was too big?
Now, now, Humpty Dumpty's not to be trifled with.
He ain't the companion of eggs you eat for breakfast, to begin with.
He's the doughty defender on the church tower
Blasting away day and night without fear!
Then came that fateful day much to Humpty's dismay
When the enemy struck and ripped the tower apart.
Down came Humpty crashing to the ground.
And all the king's horses and all the king's men
Could not put Humpty together again.

Reason To Sing
Do you have a song?
Might there be a reason to sing it?
Is there a spring in your step
Or does it drag?
Does the sun shine above you
or clouds gather in the horizon?
I have a song on my lips
and that's reason enough to sing.
How great and wonderful it will be
if by it's soothing medody
it will bring some cheer to the weary.
How great and wonderful it will be
if by it's soothing medody
it will bring some cheer to the weary.
Though clouds may gather in the horizon
they are there but for only a season.
For whatever comes, my friend,
does not come to stay!
Whatever comes,
comes only to pass!
Whatever comes,
comes only to pass!

A Cup Of Blessings
A little wish
A dream come true.
A cup of blessings
From me to you.
To put a smile on your face
To brighten up your day.
To brighten up your day.
Brief Encounter Of The Major Confusion
Hi!
How are you?
Have we met before?
You look strangely familiar.
What?
I beg your pardon!
You mean you're....ME?
And I'm....YOU?
Hi!
Hello again.
Hello myself!
Caught in a tangled web,
an awful web of brain network.
Can't get out!
I'm.....TRAPPED
.......in myself!

Fly Away, Pretty Swallow, Fly Away
Fly away, pretty swallow, fly away.
Do not linger and do not stay.
To the warmer south you go
and to green pastures
before winter comes and you are caught
in the dreadful claws of a cold snap
from which you cannot escape!
Remember the lessons learnt from the past
for they stand you in good stead.
Then you will live life with few regrets.
Do not linger and do not stay.
To the warmer south you go
and to green pastures
before winter comes and you are caught
in the dreadful claws of a cold snap
from which you cannot escape!
Remember the lessons learnt from the past
for they stand you in good stead.
Then you will live life with few regrets.
Panda Lu Lu
Ate a lot of crunchy bamboo
Till he was big as a balloon
His mum didn't know what to do!
I Used To Live In Wonderland
I used to live in Wonderland
Where Rabbit was my friend
And little else made sense.
For the sentence came before the verdict
And it mattered not where each road led.
Then Tortoise fell very sick and there was a great need!
But help could not be found in all of the land.
Thus Tortoise left for another world before I could release it to the river.
So I packed my bags and left Wonderland.
Teenie, twinee, teen, tin
Teenie, twinee, teen, tin.
Where have you been?
Down at the bottom of the bin
Where I've been since I was dropped in!
What find you there?
Or is it all dark and bare?
Nay, my friend.
There's aplenty to see, more than you can imagine.
But trash and scum I did not find
Only such that will make you cry.
